We've gone potty!
No, not that kinda potty... But seriously, how cute are our new plant pots?
Available in whatever little animal you'd like, as well as a few other sweet designs, these sweet 10 cm tall pots are half gloss and half raw ceramic for that extra something special and are the perfect friend for your plants. They're completely hand-built so each is uniquely imperfect.

Our ceramic plant pots are 10cm tall and 12cm in diameter.

If you'd like to make a special design request, we recommend you first contact us to ensure we're able to make it for you.
Embellishments*
Please note that 24karat gold embellishments will be used to give your pot some extra flair and won't replace the base colours of your design. We can do shapes, swirls, wreaths, typography and pretty much anything else you can think of, but it's generally best to contact us before you order to confirm that we will be able to design your request.

As all of our products are handmade, there is usually approximately a 4 week lead time before items are dispatched for delivery. As soon as your order is ready, we'll dispatch it, and depending on which shipping option you chose, you'll have it within 24-96 hours*.
If you would like to enquire about whether we have stock of a particular product before ordering, please use our contact form to get in touch.
*This applies to deliveries within South Africa only. Delivery times to other countries will vary.
We are a Cape Town based ceramics studio specialising in creating adorable custom ceramics to celebrate the people and occasions that matter to you most!
Every single one of our products is lovingly handmade using white earthenware clay and hand-painted using only the finest materials.
We particularly enjoy bringing your vision to life and we are always happy to fulfil your wishes for bespoke orders. Please send us an email if you'd like to chat.
How do you ship?
We utilise a couple of reputable door-to-door courier services for delivery in South Africa. A quote for international shipping to your location will be provided on request.
How much does shipping cost?
We charge a R80 flat rate in South Africa for standard delivery (48 - 96 hours) to your door, and a R120 flat rate for overnight courier to your door.
Can I collect my order?
If you're in Cape Town and you'd prefer to arrange collection of your order, just select the order collection option at checkout. We're open for collection Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.
Please note: unless otherwise arranged, we can only hold stock of completed orders for a maximum of six weeks, so if you select collection please arrange to do so within this timeframe.
Do you ship overseas?
We do on special request - please contact us if you'd like to chat. International delivery times and costs will vary.
Are payments secure?
Yes, all payments on our store are securely processed by PayFast.
You can pay using credit card, cheque card or EFT.
What is your refund/returns policy?
We try our best to package our ceramics as safely as possible, but in the unfortunate event that there is a breakage during transit, we will endeavour to either fix the item for you, or, if necessary, replace it. Should your order be damaged, we require that you please contact us, via email, within three days of arrival. We reserve the right to issue refunds as per our discretion. Please note: should you wish to return any item, the cost of shipping it back to us will be to your account.

I bought myself and my Ma tickets for this workshop for her birthday- it was a surprise and she didn’t know what to expect, we had the BEST time getting our hands dirty and laughing while relaxing. PLUS THE FOOD! OMG! And we got we got to do it all over agin for the 2nd part of the workshop! Definitely
worth the money, the experience is joyous and you get to take home your little (wonky, in my cade!) gems. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Absolutely in love with this gorgeous crown Dani made for our baby boy Jack! Although intended as a cake topper I've added this to his nursery shelves and love the simple and elegant handmade touch it adds!

I loved the little houses I got - mine is on my TV unit, is lit each night and makes me smile each time I see it! I gifted my parents the second one, and it brings a cute little festive sparkle into their home too!
I needed a creative outlet, and an experience to keep me grounded and present. I needed to invest in an experience vs a thing, and an experience just for me. Dani's workshop was perfect. It was intimate, educational and creatively freeing. Thank you Dani for providing such a warm space to express ourselves and learn more about your craft.

We spent 2 great days in the heart of Cape Town, getting in touch with our creative sides and having good fun. Learnt a lot, ate great food and spent some time with my bestie. Would highly recommend the experience - great gift idea too!
I absolutely loved Calico's pottery workshop, and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good company, a bit of creativity, and yummy food! The workshop is great for people of all skill levels - Dani offers great guidance for the novices, and ample inspiration for those who are a little more skilled. The location is so beautiful to be in, and the great goodie bag is the cherry on the top. Would definitely do it again.
Danielle’s two-day workshop is a gentle, supportive way to begin learning ceramics. She carefully presents basics and more challenging projects in a way that allows free expression with just enough structure to ensure that nobody leaves without homemade treasures.
The workshop is beautifully presented and catered, it’s a treat from start to finish. I loved it so much, I’ve booked a second round!
I had the absolute pleasure of taking part in one of Calico Ceramics workshops. To say it was the one of my all time favourite experiences is an understatement. Dani is incredible, talented and just the most divine host and person. The venue and delicious food was perfect! I loved spending time with one of my best friends creating beautiful pieces as well as meeting such a lovely group of people. There is something so therapeutic about working with clay and Dani’s gentle and knowledgeable guidance meant that not only did we leave with a new appreciation for the art, but with our own beautiful creations, which will be treasured forever. Thank you Dani & Tim for everything. If I could, I would take part in every single workshop. X
Honestly, the closest thing I can compare this two week workshop to is a spa day. Two Sundays off mom duty, enjoying the most magical food, sipping on champagne and creating masterpieces. Love that we didn’t need to know what we were doing to be there. Amazing!
I ordered a customised Wilding Fox as a gift for my dear friend's newborn baby. Dani was super patient while we waited for the baby to make an appearance so the plate could be customised with her name & birthdate. The ordering process and subsequent delivery was smooth and the finished product was stunning! I was fortunate enough to receive a red panda. Being a huge red panda lover, it made my day when it arrived. It was worth the wait as Pandy (yes, I named him Pandy) is nothing short of perfect. All Calico Ceramic Products are designed with such precision and quality.

Very happy with my custom order (which was a pretty strange request). Basically sent on a video of what I wanted, and it was delivered exactly as displayed in the video. I was given a timeline of when I could expect delivery, and it was pretty spot on from order to delivery. Will definitely use Calico again for any custom work in future.
