I was following Calico ceramics on Instagram and saw the post about this one day workshop. I decided to attend it hoping to learn the basics of making my own.
The workshop was a pure delight. The venue, the attention to details, the beautiful set up on the working tables ! Everything from A-Z.
The breakfast (yes!) & the lunch (again yes!) were delicious and added a warm atmosphere of sharing a wonderful moment witht the other people attending.
And last but not least the beautiful personality of Danielle who has a natural way of sharing her knowledge and teaching.

I absolutely loved Calico's pottery workshop, and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good company, a bit of creativity, and yummy food! The workshop is great for people of all skill levels - Dani offers great guidance for the novices, and ample inspiration for those who are a little more skilled. The location is so beautiful to be in, and the great goodie bag is the cherry on the top. Would definitely do it again.

Danielle’s two-day workshop is a gentle, supportive way to begin learning ceramics. She carefully presents basics and more challenging projects in a way that allows free expression with just enough structure to ensure that nobody leaves without homemade treasures.

The workshop is beautifully presented and catered, it’s a treat from start to finish. I loved it so much, I’ve booked a second round!

I had the absolute pleasure of taking part in one of Calico Ceramics workshops. To say it was the one of my all time favourite experiences is an understatement. Dani is incredible, talented and just the most divine host and person. The venue and delicious food was perfect! I loved spending time with one of my best friends creating beautiful pieces as well as meeting such a lovely group of people. There is something so therapeutic about working with clay and Dani’s gentle and knowledgeable guidance meant that not only did we leave with a new appreciation for the art, but with our own beautiful creations, which will be treasured forever. Thank you Dani & Tim for everything. If I could, I would take part in every single workshop. X

Honestly, the closest thing I can compare this two week workshop to is a spa day. Two Sundays off mom duty, enjoying the most magical food, sipping on champagne and creating masterpieces. Love that we didn’t need to know what we were doing to be there. Amazing!

I ordered a customised Wilding Fox as a gift for my dear friend's newborn baby. Dani was super patient while we waited for the baby to make an appearance so the plate could be customised with her name & birthdate. The ordering process and subsequent delivery was smooth and the finished product was stunning! My friends love their wilding and knowing their daughter will have a keepsake for life is very special indeed! Thank you Dani & Team Calico!

I was fortunate enough to receive a red panda. Being a huge red panda lover, it made my day when it arrived. It was worth the wait as Pandy (yes, I named him Pandy) is nothing short of perfect. All Calico Ceramic Products are designed with such precision and quality.

Very happy with my custom order (which was a pretty strange request). Basically sent on a video of what I wanted, and it was delivered exactly as displayed in the video. I was given a timeline of when I could expect delivery, and it was pretty spot on from order to delivery. Will definitely use Calico again for any custom work in future.

Both times I’ve ordered from them my custom orders came out beautifully and were delivered timeously. A gift of a lifetime!
